Could you be the full-time Data Scientist (f/m/d) in Vienna we’re looking for?

Your future role
From Vienna to the world: our Viennese site is a global competence center for trams and light rail vehicles. 800 colleagues develop and manufacture the Flexity™ tram for worldwide customers from Austria to Australia. • Define standard rules to analyse vehicle diagnostic data
  • Raise change request to improve diagnostic information collected by the vehicles
  • Report regularly and accurately on the performance of the fleet, for internal use and to the customer
  • Highlight any anomalies in system performance or component failures as present in the data

All About You
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree or Master’s in Electronics, Mechatronics or Engineering
  • Fluency in German and English language is mandatory
  • Passion for developing efficient, testable, scalable, and well-documented rules
  • Being detail-oriented, with an analytical, solution-focused approach
  • Experience in Maintenance & Warranty Support
  • Good understanding of train function

Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Experience a dynamic work environment with a permanent position at a leading company for green mobility
  • Enjoy a competitive remuneration package, 25 days of vacation, and benefits such as company pension plans and discounted tickets for public transport
  • Optimise work-life balance with flexible working hours and hybrid working models as well as bridging days, parental part-time and “Papamonat”
  • Alstom site with company canteen and meal allowance as well as good transport connections and free parking facilities
  • Explore growth opportunities and steer your career across functions and countries
  • Benefit from excellent training opportunities through our award-winning Alstom University and participate in the company's innovation culture through idea management programmes
  • Thrive in a modern and collaborative workplace featuring mentor and buddy programs, diversity & inclusion initiatives, CSR activities, and engaging employee events
  • Enjoy a comprehensive corporate health management with various initiatives such as company physician and psychologist and other health measures
  • Other attractive offers such as employee discounts, company bike leasing & share purchase programms

The minimum salary for this position is 42.250€ gross annually for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
