We are looking for a Product Manager - Data Management Platforms to be part of our ADI BSI Digital Integration team.

The role
To strengthen our Global IT Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for a Product Manager - Data Management Platforms for our Analytics, Data and Integration (ADI) team.

As the senior product manager for data management platforms, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and lifecycle of a set of global data management platforms (including SAP BW, Azure for Analytics and Snowflake) in Nestle serving hundreds of data engineer and scientists and over 50000 people across world. You will be directly line managing a team of product owners and architects as well as an extensive external workforce working in various locations across the world. With your team you will drive the product strategy (i.e. vision and roadmap) in accordance with our customer needs and act as a key information conduit for the development teams. You will own the product catalog and will be responsible for prioritization and value delivery in the product lifecycle.

You will also be responsible for managing an extensive investment portfolio associated to the product as well as helping to achieve our operational KPIs e.g. uptime, ticket resolution time, compliance etc. Although this position will only require limited hands-on work it is essential as a technical product manager to have the necessary technical skills to oversee and coach the development teams and product owners.

What You’ll Do

  • You will build and ensure delivery of the product roadmap and vision together with your product owners and ensure that increments and releases delivered are in line with the mid-long-term strategy.
  • You will inspire, recognize achievements, and provide constructive feedback to your team with the necessary conditions and coaching so they can be successful at their job.
  • You will ensure product/platform governance and compliance, and coordinate vendor engagement and activities as needed.
  • You will advocate for the receiver by observing and interacting with users, reviewing feedback, Net Promoter Scores (NPS) surveys and defining personas to guide development. You will also observe, learn and analyze the market and technology trends.
  • You will help the team to improve their process and tighten the feedback loop on the product by working together with our regional product owner network and data and analytics experts in the market and collaborate extensively with our tech partners to ensure their roadmaps fulfill Nestlé business needs.
  • You will help communicate product progress, new features and releases to receivers and stakeholders.
  • You will manage the budget for your product area and be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive budget plan, ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
  • You will stay informed about data privacy and security regulations, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary measures to protect sensitive data.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration) with a career focus in Analytics.
  • Proven and strong experience managing Data platforms at a global scale, experience managing Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, Databricks or SAP BW platforms is a plus.
  • Experience coaching combination of internal teams and external workforce, particularly in an offshore model.
  • Ability to manage your products profit and loss, form business cases & help drive software negotiations.
  • Strong ability to prioritize work, both for yourself and the team, in a fast-paced environment where new requirements are constantly being raised.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately, and deadlines are met.

Bonus Points if you:

  • Have Project Management education and experience e.g. Scrum Master, PMP.
  • Are familiar with Agile methodology and Scrum: drafting User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Acceptance Tests; leading Planning and Prioritization; defining user profiles and guiding development as voice of the customer.
  • Have a good understanding of data engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
