Job Description

Our Data Product delivery team is composed of 3 data squads dedicated to different business functions and one transversal team dedicated to support & maintenance of our data products.

As an IT Product Manager, you will lead one “Data Squad” dedicated to a specific business function, co-defining the roadmap, prioritizing topics, and planning with your business product owner(s) counterpart(s). 
This role requires to be a trusted advisor and an efficient leader who delivers solutions in an agile manner with a focus on business outcomes. 

The Product Manager would also be of “chapter leader” for IT product management, by animating and coaching other IT Product Managers dedicated to the 2 other data squads in order to ensure consistency in best practices and detect potential opportunities to merge and factor several initiatives together.

The role will be based in Tiffany & Co.'s Parsippany, NJ location or based in Paris, France.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a data squad dedicated to a specific business function (supply chain/manufacturing or Omnichannel/client preferred).
  • Co-define the roadmap, prioritization of topics, and planning with the business product owner counterpart.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and efficient leader for delivering data solutions.
  • Ensure delivery of solutions in an agile way with good velocity/time to market.
  • Focus on business outcomes while leveraging technical capabilities.
  • Manage and mentor a cross-functional team consisting of Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Data Architects, Data Engineers, BI Developers, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Governance Champions.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Continuously improve processes and methodologies for better delivery efficiency.
  • Animate the IT product management chapter and define best practices.
  • Educate business teams about IT data products vs prototypes/Self-service and provide guidance to the change management team.

  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and principles.
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud (BigQuery and Dataform), Microsoft Power BI, and Dataiku.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • High level of business acumen and technical knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to drive projects to successful completion within scope, time, and budget.
  • Comfortable working remotely.

Qualifications: 

Required:

  • 6+ years of relevant IT experience/Product or project management
  • 5+ years Data Warehouse & Data analytics experience
  • 5+ years of Agile software development, preferably Scrum.
  • Strong facilitation/leadership skills with self-managed work teams.
  • Ability to motivate teams comprised of multiple vendors and skill sets.
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels of technical and business management.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to grasp technical issues quickly and apply good judgement to drive them to resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality solutions
  • A very positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level regardless of the complexity of delivery
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, business oriented that is capable to translate to tech delivery of data products (datasets, dashboards, AI engine)

Preferred:

  • Good working knowledge of Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery/Dataform in particular.
  • Good knowledge of AI and Machine Learning. Dataiku knowledge is a plus
  • Good working knowledge of both Jira and Confluence. Familiar with DevOps.
  • Experience working as Scrum coach to guide teams on the principles and an agile way of working.
  • French as a foreign language is a plus.
