Decision Data Scientist

Bitdefender is seeking a Decision Data Scientist to join us in our journey of transforming data into information. For this role we are looking for a self-driven, analytical, and curious person who will be responsible for translating data into business insights and present key findings in a clear, convincing, informative way, and uniquely tailored to suit different audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Shape and manipulate sophisticated datasets to discover opportunities for driving value for the business;
• Build statistical / machine learning models, diagnose, validate, and improve the performance of these models over time;
• Leverage analytical applications to translate data in stories and explain the meaningful conclusions of the analysis in written verbal and visual form;
• Work closely with the business’s departmental heads, management, and key stakeholders, in defining and implementing new metrics, data sources or frameworks to support a data-driven decision-making process;
• Keep up to date with the latest technical or research developments happening in the field.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional experience in an analytical role (Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Decision Scientist, etc.);
• Advanced experience in Python programming language (for ML/AI) and SQL (for data processing);
• Working experience with visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau / etc.) in creating compelling data stories;
• Working experience in analyzing data using statistical or visualization techniques to identify patterns or trends in the data;
• Working experience in implementing machine learning models, algorithms and predictive analytics to answer specific business questions;
• Should be passionate about leveraging AI and data-driven technologies to drive business impact, with a focus on strategic implementation;
• Strong balance of business thinking alongside analytical and technical skills;
• Comfortable explaining sophisticated ideas clearly and simply;
• Excellent attention to detail, natural curiosity, and ability to problem-solve creatively;
• Ability to work independently while prioritizing multiple projects and tasks.
