Data Science Senior Consultant

We are currently looking for expert Data Scientist to join our Data & Analytics team. This position is a unique opportunity to unlock insights contained in the data universe working in a dynamic and innovative environment. We are looking for candidates with an international background that have experience and strong knowledge in data analytics applications in multi-disciplinary environments that provide real-world impact for organizations.

You will be based in our office in Milan (preferably) or in Turin, with a hybrid way of working.

Whom are we looking for?

• Master's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or related area
• 4-5 years of experience in Data and Analytics with skills in:
• Statistical analysis and development of predictive modeling/algorithms, or unsupervised algorithm (e.g. clustering)
• Competency in Python (e.g. Pandas, TensorFlow, Numpy, Scikit-Learn, Pytorch)
• Data mining
• Data cleansing
• Feature engineering
• Experience with cloud computing (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) working with Advanced Analytics functionalities of the main Cloud Platform (e.g., SageMaker, Vertex AI, Databricks)
• You are able to communicate both in Italian and English at all levels of the Organization (other European languages will be considered as a plus)
• Ability to understand business requirements and identify the best solution to achieve the expected outcome
• Ability to handle an analytical project end-to-end, from business need understanding till results presentation
• Experience in planning and coordination of project team activities maintaining challenging and collaborative environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Highly self-motivated, proactive
• Ability to contribute to the management of a team-oriented environment
• Willingness to continuously learn and research on new approach and technologies related to data management and analytics

You will have an advantage if, additionally, you have:

• R and SQL
• Previous Consulting and/or professional services experience
• Experience with Hadoop, Apache Spark
• Experience with version control tools such as Git
• Experience with NLP and text mining
• Data Visualization skills on some of leading BI solutions (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik)
• Both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues
• Experience identifying of new business opportunities
• Experience in answering to RFIs or RFPs concerning analytics topics or software selection
