About The Team
The Data Management & Insights [DMI] team is part of Business Excellence delivering on the promise of a stable end-to-end operating platform for Life & Health Reinsurance. The DMI team's mission is to make data accessible to stakeholders by acquiring and ingesting client data systematically through our systems. The team also utilizes advance analytics techniques to create insights that generate additional value for L&H (Life & Health) Re. The team operates with a continuous improvement mindset to make data, systems, and processes better not only for their own use but also for their stakeholders.
About The Role
In this role you will have the following key business responsibilities:
- Code the data mappings using ETL, Python, SQL or other tools to transform and map client data attributes which will be consumed by L&H stakeholders.
- Design and execute test cases to validate data transformations and identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform data quality checks during data ingestion & consumption to ensure that end users can use the client data with minimal downstream enrichments.
- Analyze and determine best path for solving business opportunities/issues which may include process improvements, application/system enhancements and/or end-user training.
- Interface between business stakeholders and data experts to conceptualize, lead and monitor data driven projects and initiatives and maximize value creation from data assets.
About You
You have proven strategic, analytical and conceptual thinking with innovative mindset. You are able to present complex data insights and have effective communication skills.
Essentials
- Bachelor of Computer Science degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficient in data mapping, ETL processing, and data integration
- Proficient in SQL, Python coding and experience working with relational databases.
- Good understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server etc.)
- Experience handling large volumes of data in both structured and unstructured formats.
- Understanding in data mining algorithms, and statistical modeling techniques

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 2300 EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group. You can look forward to extra rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
