Business Analyst/ Requirements Engineer

You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions for our digital marketplace. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of projects that meet both business and user needs. What you will do

• Identify, analyze, and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into technology requirements
• Keep technology documentation up-to-date for use of internal and external stakeholders
• Liaise between different stakeholders and users to gather and determine business requirements to bridge the gap between a problem or business objective and potential technical solutions
• Model interrelationships between processes, structures, data flow and user interfaces
• Create and review requirement specifications (e.g. write user stories) for new features, change requests and support cases
• Challenge existing business processes and assess alternative solutions considering technological, organizational, and economic constraints based on data-driven approaches
• Establish change management process: manage requests and prepare corresponding basis for decision-making
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects and currently two engineering teams (expected to grow in the future) to review the user stories and to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions
• Perform business acceptance testing
• Run workshops and training sessions
• Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
• Continuously work on ways to improve and document business processes

What you bring

• Degree (FH, BSc, MSc) in information technology, business administration, computer science, or relevant discipline
• 3+ years of professional hands-on experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, data analysis, or related field, preferably in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Working knowledge of agile principles (SCRUM, SAFe, Kanban, ...)
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual way of working and thinking to translate complex business needs into clear and concise requirements
• Confidence in working with complex data and systems
• Ability to effectively integrate information from internal & external key stakeholders
• Sound practical knowledge in technical writing
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Additional plus 

• Training in requirements engineering (e.g. IREB, CBAP, CCBA, CPRE, ...)
• Familiarity with launching or scaling e-commerce or marketplace platforms
• Understanding of the aviation industry, aerospace (MRO) business or related fields
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
