Job Description

Within the Generali Engagement Solutions GmbH Function we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) area has traditional finance-oriented responsibilities such as treasury, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting but also negotiation with external and internal partners and assurance of a sustainable and sound product pricing. This role is responsible to develop and leverage our customers behavior understanding and turn these into business and financial implications and recommendations for the Product and Local Teams.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Use your expertise in ensuring a sustainable pricing for the GENS products by collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data to create meaningful compelling analysis and recommendations to mitigate any risk that might arise in cost increase
  • Maintain and further develop the existing framework for our Experience review by applying statistical and preferably machine learning techniques to build predictive and prescriptive models and test hypotheses to understand our customers behavior and the economic impact
  • Deliver insights, and propose concrete actions for product interventions (product renewals) in concurrence with the Product Specialist and local markets making sure these are appropriately priced
  • Engage with Product, Marketing and Local teams to fulfill their data needs and helping them to identify and analyze key trends for better decision making
  • Monitor KPIs and business performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and assess the effectiveness of implemented Product changes and strategies
  • Present data insights and concepts clearly to a non-technical audience
  • Foster a data-driven culture and support data literacy throughout the organization
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key regional stakeholders and wider Group colleagues

Requirements
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Formally educated in a numeric or scientific discipline (Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics). However, this is of course no substitute for commercial experience, for which you’ll also have plenty to draw on, ideally in a fast paced dynamic environment with a certain degree of uncertainty
  • We’d expect you have best in class Excel knowledge and SQL skills as standard. We use Tableau to visualize our data, so any experience with this or a similar tool (e.g. PowerBI) is great.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling principles and tools

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of Machine Learning tools is an advantage
  • Flexibility to travel and work in different countries
  • Analytical and outcome-oriented mindset for interpreting complex data and converting it into actionable insights to guide strategic decisions
  • Strong attention to detail to highlight and address edge cases and data quality issues
  • Comfort with ambiguity and operating in a “test and learn” culture, with a very high level of autonomy and accountability
