Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support the Data & AI product strategy data collection, storage, and analysis at NPTC Coffee. You will drive our long-term data infrastructure vision aligned with Nestlé Global IT strategy for R&D, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines aligned with business goals. By leading the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT processes, you’ll play a vital role in enabling innovative Science & Technology solutions that drive competitive advantage.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Data Engineer

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data flows in R&D (from consumer to factory)
• Implement and deploy data solutions in line with the NTPC Coffee data strategy and project priorities ensuring robustness and efficiency of underlying data pipelines
• Collect, organize, and maintain data to foster a culture of data excellence
• Collaborate with data scientists and functional teams to ensure data quality and facilitate analytics initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in data & analytics engineering to continuously improve processes
• Contribute to the Science & Technology strategy by delivering tailored data solutions
• Oversee the maintenance of digital solutions to ensure ongoing effectiveness
• Engage in exploratory projects to identify new data sources and methodologies
• Build Dashboard and tools in alignments with data science needs (AI/ML) aligned with Business requirements

What Will Make You Successful

• Background in data engineering or technologies
• Solid experience in data engineering roles
• Understanding of operational setup within various categories
• Proven contribution to major projects across centers, if applicable
• Track record in knowledge management and area expertise updates
• Proficient in collaborating within a diverse environment, engaging with individuals from various backgrounds and areas of expertise, including IT, Data, Data Science, and business partnerships.
• Ability to foster a climate for innovation and knowledge sharing
• Commitment to insourcing research to transform it into bold innovation
• Strong programming expertise, Python, Scala, Apache Spark (R is a plus)
• Proven experience with Databases management (RDBMS, NoSQL). Graph database (RDF, Neo4J)
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
